Infrared Detectors and Modules

for the spectral range 2-16 µm

 

DoroTEK provide  as representative of VIGO System S.A. solutions for the measurement of infrared radiation.

The heart of the program are detectors for the spectral range of ca. 2 – 16 µm, which combine high responsivity with extremely short response times (for some types below 1 ns). The photoresistors and photovoltaic detectors are available in uncooled and TE-cooled configuration. For the measurement of very weak radiation VIGO has developed the principle of optical immersion. This mile stone in detector technology received an honor by the “Circle of Excellence Award” by Photonics Spectra.

The detector program is completed by a variety of IR-detector-modules, including preamplifiers, cooler controllers and heat sinks. These units are as laboratory version available or as miniaturized models for the system integration.

Main properties of the infrared detectors at a glance

  • The detector range covers the spectral range 2 – 16 µm
  • The detectors are based on MCT, InAs und InAsSb.
  • Operation at room temperature or with TE-cooling (2-, 3- oder 4-stage)
  • Extremely fast : time constant  < 1ns   /    band width till the GHz-range
  • D*-values of the MWIR-detectors are in the theoretic border area (BLIP-detectors)
  • Noise reduction by principle of optical immersion
  • Single element detectors, quadrants and arrays (linear, bilinear)
